On the other hand, there are also some disadvantages.

Compared to traditional phone system, voip phone systems allow you to save your voice mail messages into email as data. Moreover, you can also have the office phones to be mirrored on computer desktops so you can use it wherever you are as long as there is an internet connection. There is also a greater advantage when using voip phone, now you can coordinate the mobile devices, office phones, and computers to work together at the real time. This system is called the unified or integrated communications.

One of the most significant benefits of using the voip phone systems is that you can save more. It is true that you don’t need to spend more money because the voip phone has lower cost than the traditional system. Primarily, the phone and internet will be delivered through the same cabling so you will save costs affiliated with wiring system. Besides, this VoIP system doesn’t depend on location. So, whether you are out of town, states, or even in a location across the world, there will be no difference in terms of connectivity and cost for you to make communication. VoIP comes with an interoffice four-digit dial allows you to make call from wherever you are.

Apart from the advantages above, you should realize the disadvantages the voip phone systems bring. First of all, it is related to the internet requirement. It means that it would be impossible for you to make the voice connection when you don’t have internet connection available. Moreover, when you put in voip phone systems you have to set up with adequate bandwidth since the data and voice will be coming through the same cable. The insufficient bandwidth will slow your connection.

Furthermore, internet phone or voip phone has some security issues that includes the possibility of spyware to access your phone systems. For example, there is ‘Packet sniffers’ where hackers can eavesdrop on your conversations and the worse is the ‘dialers’ that has the ability the thieves use to direct phone calls through your internet connection to call costly numbers. So you must equip your business internet phone system with firewall security integrated to your voip phone systems.

Once, you must have experienced the jittery sound, echo, or lost calls when using the voip phone systems. It is true that the problem when the internet-based phone technology first developed is the sound quality. Today, as the technology of voip phone improved, the sounds produced are more reliable and qualify. Thus, you can see now that the voice call through internet has more benefits than the traditional one.
